The latest generation of Ford's Bronco lives up to its legendary nameplate with outstanding off-road capability and rugged, functional design. No other mid-sized SUV can match its unique style, turning heads wherever you go. Here's your quick guide to the 2023 Ford Bronco!
Basics About the 2023 Ford Bronco
Power and Performance
The Bronco's standard engine is an impressive turbocharged 2.3L EcoBoost inline-4, generating up to 300 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque—more than enough to get you out of trouble. There's also a 330-horsepower 2.7L and 418-horsepower 3.0L twin-turbo V6. The 3.0L version's 440 lb-ft of torque promises increased acceleration and a towing capacity of up to 4,500 pounds when combined with the Trailer Tow Package.
Power is routed to all four wheels through either a standard 7- or available 10-speed automatic transmission. The robust 4x4 system features part-time selectable engagement with multiple modes that provide you with the appropriate amount of power for heavy-duty towing or handling steep inclines. An available High-speed Off-road Suspension System (HOSS) 2.0 adds Bilstein position-sensitive dampers and increases ground clearance.
Heritage Model
For the 2023 model year, the Bronco lineup has introduced the all-new Heritage trim, which harkens back to the 1960s when the SUV first set the automotive world on fire. Its unique retro look is marked by its white roof, white front fascia, and classic 17-inch wheels in the Oxford White finish. The Heritage model's interior also brings back classic style with its charming plaid cloth upholstery.
Besides looking great, this trim comes standard with the Sasquatch Package for enhanced off-road performance. The package includes larger 35-inch tires, the HOSS 2.0, and electronic-locking front and rear axles set at a 4.7 final drive ratio.
Passenger Cabin
With its removable hardtop or soft top and removable doors, the Bronco offers its owners a variety of ways to enjoy the great outdoors from its spacious cabin. The interior's design was inspired by the beauty of nature, which can be seen in its well-textured surfaces and selection of color schemes. These colors range from the Dark Space Gray of the Everglades model to the earthy tones of the Outer Banks model's leather-trimmed seats.
There are plenty of storage options available, including multiple cargo area compartments and a console lock box. In its 4-door body style, the Bronco soft top provides up to 83 cubic feet of space when the second-row seats are folded down.
Technology
The Bronco's Sync 4 infotainment system allows you to stay connected, even as you venture into the countryside. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto both come standard, as well as the ability to connect to a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot. The system also supports voice recognition, SiriusXM with 360L, and Ford Power-Up software updates. Home theater-quality sound comes from the available 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system.
