F-550 Heavy Duty Pickup Highlights

When you're searching for a work truck, you want one that will withstand the test of time and has power and high performance. F-550 Models

The F-550 is available in three main models: Lariat, XL, and XLT. Each one is a chassis cab. While chassis cabs are typically known for limited features, these three have a few surprises, such as Sirius XM radio.

F-550 Power Train

When comparing work trucks, power matters. For instance, the XL, XLT, and Lariat all come standard with a 2V, 7.3L DECVT V8 gas engine, ideal for hauling heavy loads for long hours. This engine has 350 horsepower and 468 lb.-ft of torque. On the other hand, you may opt for a 6.7L Power Stroke® V8 Turbo Diesel engine for any of these trims. All trims come with a TorqShift® 10-speed automatic transmission, along with selectable drive modes suited for serious hauling and towing.

Interior

The XL and XLT both have 40/console/40 cloth seating in the front. The crew cab has 60/40 flip-up bench seating in the rear that folds up. The super-cab of both of these trims has bench seats that flip up and fold down. You may also opt for vinyl seating. The Lariat has the same seating but comes standard with leather-trimmed seats in the front and vinyl in the back.

Extras

So you have music anywhere the road takes you, all trims come with the ability to stream music and a premium AM/FM radio. You'll also receive Ford Pass Connect, so you can stay updated on the local traffic, helping you to avoid certain areas so you always reach the job site on time. You can choose to have a navigation system in any of the three trims, so you're always on time and arrive at the correct location of the job site.

Pricing

The XL starts at $35,125, while the XLT's base price is $40,895. The Lariat, however, begins at $52,365.
