F-150 Driving Assistance Technology

The most remarkable technology in the F-150 is the Ford Co-Pilot360, a suite of driving assistance technology that drastically improves vehicle safety and driver experience.

The F-150 comes with the following Ford Co-Pilot360 components:
  • Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with Trailer Coverage: Helps the driver change lane safely by alerting them of vehicles in their blind spot or alongside the trailer.

  • Rear View Camera with Dynamic Hitch Assist: Makes backing up safe and easy, with an on-screen guide to help the driver align their hitch with the trailer.
  • Auto High-Beam Headlamps: Automatically senses poor lighting conditions and turns on headlamps in response. Automatically dims headlamps when there's oncoming traffic.
  • Active Park Assist 2.0: Makes even tight parallel parking easy. It helps the driver find a parking spot. Once a spot has been found, all the driver has to do is shift to neutral and hold down the Active Park Assist button. The vehicle parks automatically without human intervention.
  • Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go: Reads speed signs and automatically adjusts vehicle speed to stay within limits. Stops and resumes driving automatically to avoid traffic.

F-150 Connectivity and Infotainment Technology

Besides Ford Co-Pilot360, the F-150 is also equipped with the FordPass Connect technology for remote connectivity and optionally the SYNC 4 technology for voice-based in-vehicle infotainment.

  • FordPass Connect: After downloading a smartphone app, owners can use their phones to remotely control their F-150, including locking or unlocking the doors, starting or stopping the engine, and creating a start schedule. Owners can also keep tabs on the details of their vehicles, such as approximate mileage, fuel level, oil life, and maintenance intervals on their phones.
  • SYNC 4: F-150 offers the option to upgrade to a 12” LED touch screen supporting SYNC 4, Ford’s latest infotainment technology. SYNC 4 provides a native voice recognition interface that enables F-150 owners to get information and entertainment such as the latest traffic and weather, driving directions, parking availability, and streamed music.
