Ford Motor Company has added new powertrain options and features for the 2021 Escape, including hybrid powertrain availability for the SE and SEL trim levels. In addition, this powertrain will now come standard on Titanium models, which will also offer optional 19-inch-wheels.

The 250-horsepower-four-cylinder 2.0-liter turbocharged engine can travel from zero-to-60 miles per hour in just 5.7 seconds and generates 280 lb.-ft of torque for drivers with a passion for performance. This is an impressive result for a car in this class.  The 181-horsepower, 1.5-liter-three-cylinder turbocharged engine, which can produce 190 lb.-ft of torque and is paired with front-wheel or all-wheel drive is also an option for the 2021 Escape.

Hybrid powertrains available for this Ford model includes the 2.5-liter-200-horsepower-hybridFaux leather has replaced the textured cloth seats in the Escape S at higher trim levels with a continuously variable automatic transmission and a maximum torque of 155 lb.-ft at 4,000 RPMs.  A plug-in version of the hybrid is new for this year and offers added convenience for charging at home or on the go. In addition, most trim packages are available with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive for added traction in difficult driving conditions.
